I’m Scared About the Holes

If you don’t know this already, I have a Psychology Degree and I’m build websites for a living. I have no formal training in programming or building websites. I often get nervous about the holes (large ones I have no doubt) in my knowledge due to the fact that I’m self taught. According to some

Coding Alone is Tough

I know a bunch of people that read this are working alone, which means your learning alone. I spend all day coding by myself just like this.

I’ve been in the same spot, waiting for answers on Stackoverflow to questions and searching my brains out. I even took a job with a WordPress company in the

Anyone Can Be Good, Only Some Can Be Great

Awesome post by Edward Cassie on sweating the little details. I was just thinking about that at my local bike shop when I looked at the cable housing they replaced. Sure it all works fine, but instead of a black cable end (which matches the rest of the bike) they used the standard silver.

Silence is Not a Bad Thing

I just came across Take Five which is an app designed so that you don’t sit in silence while working. It’s happened to all of us, we are working then get distracted for a second and stop our music so that we can attend to the other item. Once we get back to work we

Building A Socially Conscious Kid

I’ve got an 18 month old daughter and like many (hopeful all) parents I want to raise a kid that is not self-centred. I want to raise a kid that doesn’t associate Christmas with getting stuff. I want to raise a socially conscious kid.

One of the ways I’ve thought about working to mould her is

Live Your Eulogoy

My friend Eric recently wrote about his quest to get the right fit in his life. It seems to me that he is trying to sort out the things that are most important to him and then set about doing them, and in theory, getting someone to pay him for it. Darryl at Loving the
