Great post on how to treat customers from Seth Godin. We need to remember this as we treat our customers with respect or not.

I had a project go months over this year. When the client asked about it, I told them the truth. I fell in love with another part of my business and it hurt my development work. I was paying the price for that mistake and I would understand if he didn’t feel like he could work with me anymore. I also said I’d love a chance to earn his trust back if he was willing.

He signed a monthly retainer and I’ve been given a chance to earn that trust back, but only because I didn’t waffle, I was just honest about it.

Don’t waffle. Own your mistakes and you’ll get to see how much good can come from it.
