    Maybe watching movies isn’t a place for connection with her. There must be things that she fully engages in. Become fully engaged in one or more of those things. Become curious in something she is truly interested in. Don’t do it just to convince her that phone time during joint activities is wrong. Do it because you truly care about her and want a better connection with her.

      Good advice, and I do spend hours a week listening to her talk about figure skating (her job). I suppose the hard part for me is there is rarely a moment when she shows as much interest in anything I’m interested in.
