Limit of Vision book cover

This book explores the evolution of human-kind as the combine with LOV’s, artificial brains designed by humans, in what at times appears to be a race to “beat” AI and at times feels like a slapped together concept that never really lands. For me the book felt rushed most of the time, like there was more story there, but the author was unable to pull it out and really examine who each character was.

I didn’t find the book bad, but I’m in no rush to find the second book. If it comes up in a visit to a thrift store I’ll think about it but that’s about it.

If you’re looking for some science fiction but aren’t looking for hard science and don’t mind thinner characters, this is a decent read. Don’t pay lots for it though.
