Most people, myself included, have been going on about how terrible Twitter has been acting lately. Well last week Twitter said you’d be able to download Tweets by the end of the year. Clearly an attempt to look less like asshat’s.

My question is, what on earth are you going to do with the Tweets? Read through them all to remember the asinine things you said? Import them to another service? People you’re tweets have no long term relevance. You’re kids are not going to care about them just let them go.

But it does make them look less like jerks. So I guess they’re giving candy to us, just before they bundle the API (and us) in to the back of a van to have their way.
