My oldest daughter (14) has a night free and we’ve been using it to hang out. We’ve been far more
strict about the movies we’ve allowed her to watch but at 14 I we’ve loosened the reigns almost
entirely1. Last we she picked Uncharted which is a fun action romp.

This week I got to watch Die Hard for the first time in 15 years. My daughter agrees it’s a
Christmas movie and said it’s her new favourite action movie.

There are also a number of glaring plot holes, like the first villain that finds Bruce Willis saying
that he knows the character is a cop, but that fact hasn’t come to light yet for the villains. Parts
of the dialogue are pretty bad, but overall she enjoyed the action.

She was also very surprised to see Professor Snape as the lead villain in the movie.

  1. A few movies we own we’ve told her she’s better to watch with us first like America History x, but she does have unfettered access to our Plex library and Netflix so we’re not really stopping ↩︎
