For a modest amount of money the best reading (and napping) chair I know of is the IKEA Strandmon. My preference would be the Eames Lounge chair but the price starts at 20x and up the cost of the Strandmon. Still, this is one kind of reading chair that does not comfortably facilitate marking up, much less taking notes.
That is about the style of chair I want. Unfortunately I live 9+ hours from an IKEA now so I’ve got to find something local that’s similar. Yes, the Eames chair looks far too reclined to me for taking notes on a side table in.
