What if a notebook doesn’t keep up with your thoughts?
Wait, what if you’re thinking about it all wrong and you’re attempting to move far faster than you can realistically while giving your tasks and ideas the thought they require?
I still sit with a notebook in front of me daily. I track my tasks for the day in that notebook and write about my day, today I just wrote about the broken toilet I finished. I write down the tasks that come up in meetings and than later move them to Todoist.
I’ve long been a proponent of writing down initial ideas in my notebook and taking the notes on books in a notebook because friction is the point sometimes. If it’s to hard to write down that quote or idea, maybe it’s not worth writing down.
Faster is not always better and life is going far to fast in our quest for Western ideals of always being productive.
