The Fountain and the Firehose
Patrick Rhone looks at why we write. I like what Patrick has to say, and at the same time I’m continuing the link love by showing you a fountain that I sip out of regularly. I also acknowledge that I’m a white dude and some people read me already, so it’s far easier for me than for many.
I write because I can’t stop. My site has always done the best when I write what interests me and ignore whatever the popular topics are.
Calibre for ebooks
I manage my ebooks with Calibre. It’s open source and does book conversions if you want to change formats. It’s not the prettiest app, but you can improve it by changing some settings. The Linux Cast recently did a good rundown of it’s features.
The manosphere and aggrieved entitlement

One thing that makes me very sad is that a gateway into the community is reaching out for emotional support, especially online. You are hurting and get pointed towards extreme views that absolve you of any responsibility and put any issues you’re experiencing at the feet of women.
If societies issues have a place to rest it’s at the feet of governments and businesses. Businesses pushing income to the C suite and shareholders and governments wasting taxpayer money.
