This week I listened to all the albums from Guns N’ Roses. My favourite album was Chinese Democracy released in 2008, which came out after my teenage listening years. The albums I remember from that era are Use Your Illusion I & II which contain my favourite song…Civil War. Every time that came on I started it over and cranked up the volume while stopping work for the length of the track to simply enjoy.

Next week I’m going to go with a Canadian staple, The Tragically Hip.

If you have other bands I should listen through leave a comment or reach out to me on Mastodon.

Nice selections. Love Guns N Roses and Tool. I live in Kingston, so I can’t complain about the Hip either.

If it’s more Canadian bands you’re looking for, Big Wreck/Ian Thornley are amazing, and while an acquired taste, I love the Tea Party also.

Thanks for writing this blog. I’m currently going through a “not everything needs to be optimized to 100%” phase. Tired of all the YouTube productivity stuff and learning to just figure things out on my own while keeping things simple. Still use and love Evernote if you can believe it.

    Have a good week sir!

My Dad grew up in Kingston and much of his side of the family lives there still. Spent lots of time in the 1000 islands.

I like all those bands and grew up on them. They are on the list. Thanks.
