Today I found out that Apple has new iPhones because Chris wrote about it. Now I’ve looked at them and I just don’t care. My 13 Mini still serves its purpose without issue. I don’t care about Apple Intelligence and I’d rather have a mirrorless camera if I’m looking for a better camera.
My wife and I were just laughing about how I used to follow every update day and date and would come out of my office to talk about tech and wish she was more excited about it.
Now a phone is just a tool like a hammer. I don’t care about new hammer developments, and new iPhones seem to have about the same amount of innovation as a new hammer would. Slightly better materials, but nothing that will change how it works in my daily life.

That’s, honestly, what I feel like about the phones themselves. I’ve followed the updates more this year out of boredom but… eh. I doubt I would know either if I wasn’t ready to upgrade.
I’m pretty sure my next phone will just be a refurbished iPhone or an Android phone. As long as it works and is reasonably modern…I just don’t care.
