This is the second installment in the Impossible Creatures set of books. Here we find Jacques has escaped the Archipelago to find Christopher because dragons are dying. Christopher must get back in to the magical land without his Grandfather catching him on the way in then figure out what is killing the dragons. He also has a side quest to help a princess who’s uncle is trying to kill her and her father so he can assume the throne.
