Probably the best thing I’ve read concerning the executive shake up at Apple, has nothing to do with technology companies at all. In fact, it doesn’t talk about tech at all. It’s an article about the failings of the US military in the Afghanistan and Iraq wars.

The short version is that US Generals aren’t held accountable based on performance anymore and they should be if the US wants to win wars.

Tim Cooke held his generals accountable for their failings which makes room for those that are successful. Sure it’s a shake up and we have yet to see how it all turns out.

I for one am in favour of being held accountable, and paying for your actions.
