Dignity in a Digital age is Ro Khanna's attempt to address the economic inequality brought on by tech companies. He wants to see tech empower everyone, instead of disrupting most people while a very few gain crazy amounts of wealth.

He breaks the book up into two parts. First he addresses expanding the tech opportunities around the United States. Second he attemps to address the reforms that are needed to ensure that tech doesn't harm the standing of citizens in the United States, and that it doesn't errode democracy.

I found the first part fairly strong, but the second part was so weak it almost wasn't worth reading. Actually I ended up speeding through the second part because it had so little substance. He mostly spent 2 or 3 paragraphs on some topic, and then talked about a bill he co-sponsored or put forward...which of course went no where so provided no solutions to the problem he barely described.

Khanna has lots of high-minded ideas, but I'm not sure what the average person can do with the information provided in the book. Though if they like his ideas and have the opportunity to vote for Khanna, they could do that.

The book also goes by the title Progressive Capitalism in some versions.
