Saving Time book cover

This is Jenny Odells attempt to make sense of time outside of how capitalism tells us we should view time, the relentless pursuit of productivity at the expense of inhabiting the life around us. This is much more a philosophical book than practical one. Jenny offers little advice on how to break out of working all the time, but opines on different forms of time that people inhabit.

Yes I thought a bunch while reading the book, but I have no real steps to take to break out of a productivity centered view of time despite being well paid and not needing to spend most of my time working. If you need to work multiple jobs to eat, this book offers no advice be it for the single reader or the structures that surround us to keep us working all the time instead of inhabiting the world outside of our earning potential.
