The Prophet book cover by Harry Marks

There are discussions of child abuse and sexual abuse at the hands of a “religious” leader. Be warned.

This book follows the Rich family as dad becomes an outcast in the religious community his brother runs, his daughter gets married to his brother, and his wife is given to another man.

While the book was decent, there was at least one chunk where more editing was required as we watch repeated events happen (hiding a scarf in the same spot twice in two different chapters without it being retrieved). Not sure I’ll read it again but if you’re into a bit of a thriller this isn’t a bad read.
