This is the final book in the 4 books Brandon Sanderson wrote in “secret” during the COVID 19 pandemic. In this one we follow Nomad who has skipped to a world that has such intense sun that it scorches the entire landscape on every rotation. Mountains form, and disappear. Plants grow in a matter of minutes, and trees in a few hours, only to be burned away with the coming sun.

Sanderson gives a bunch of hints about who Nomad is, because it’s clear you’ve met this character before as you begin to realize the knowledge they have about other parts of the Cosmere. I wasn’t able to guess who it was until the reveal, but I couldn’t remember the name of the person after a number of years passing since my last reading of the Stormlight Archive books.

Just like Sanderson’s other books, I was on the edge of my seat and managed to read the book over 2 days because I couldn’t put it down. I highly recommend reading it.
