This is a critical look at Twitter (now X) and it’s impact on the world. One of my favourite quotes is:

A social machine that organizes and measures our scarce attention, assigning a numerical value to every scroll, pause, keystroke and click. A near-death experience, measuring out its approach by the second.

There are a lot of forward looking conclusions in this book around democracy and the influence that social media will have on elections and the views of society.
