Taking the kids to work?

Austin Kleon writes about his kids spending lots of time in his office. It sounds so good, but then I think about the focused time I need and wonder how I could do it.

Could I set up a bit of an art table and then spend more time with them doing art and hanging out with me? How would it affect my productivity? Could I take a more active role in the schooling of my oldest (we homeschool).

What type of work would I need to take on to make this happen? How would I need to change what I do day to day?

It seems to me that this is easier with me oldest and youngest kid. It’s harder with my middle one, who is a bit of a whirlwind.

What’s your office policy with your kids?
