Greg has a good post on productivity culture.

The fact that people believe there is a hack to everything is really the issue. Everyone wants a quick, easy fix. 5 minute abs, diet pills, a stupid morning routine — whatever it is you are trying to achieve, all these ‘hacks’ are a waste of time.

There is no quick hack. No, changing the task management tool of someone famous will not make you get more done. It takes hard work, and a bunch of luck. The only thing you can do is do your job well and do your best to stay organized.

If you’ve read a few books on productivity, you probably don’t need to read the latest hottest one that’s out now. You probably don’t need another course. You know what you need to do, so sit down and do it.
