Male flight describes a similar phenomenon when large numbers of females enter a profession, group, hobby or industry—the men leave. That industry is then devalued.

Dang, the mental gymnastics shown by the men to say anything but they’re simply misogynistic and don’t want to compete with women is crazy. Misogyny harms men too and us guys need to get over our fragile egos that often think we should be superior just because we have a dick.

I’ve been mulling over the ways that the misogynistic way boys are raised into men harms men but I’m not sure that I’ve got a handle on enough of the issue at this point. Guess I need to make a reading list outside of the few I’ve read listed below.
