  • 2 Amazing Site Retro Pixel Themes

    by

I love the look of both localghost and nicchan. I’d love to use nescss for one of my sites in the future. I love that the look of the web is trending fun again instead of the stale cookie cutter version we’ve had for a long time now.

  • 5-Year Timeframes

    by

Joanna’s post on 5-year timeframes hits at a poignant time for me. I started a new notebook this week and that means I’ve got a front section that looks at my intentions, which I’ve been dreading because I know I made almost no progress on them in the last year. If I’m honest, I haven’t

  • Tracy on Capitalism Brain

    by

Tracy has a great take on capitalism brain making us think that if we didn’t work 40 hours this week then we’re lazy. In many fields if you didn’t work 50 hours or more you’re clearly “unproductive”. Her second reminder is that errands and chores are work. When one parent at my house is doing

  • Avoiding Angertainment

    by

I really like Om’s word angertainment to describe what gets popular on social media. This goes not just for the “big tech” platforms like Facebook, Twitter, or Reddit, but I see it happening on Mastodon as well. • Mac Mini M4 and the Power Button

    by

Yes the Mac Mini M4 came out and it’s a beast but that power button is stupid. If you have a 3D printer you can fix it like this. This is super stupid you have to fix a power button though.

  • Guns N’ Roses Discography

    by

This week I listened to all the albums from Guns N’ Roses. My favourite album was Chinese Democracy released in 2008, which came out after my teenage listening years. The albums I remember from that era are Use Your Illusion I & II which contain my favourite song…Civil War. Every time that came on I

  • Amazon is bad for Canada Post

    by

Lots of good stuff in this article about how Amazon contracts with companies like Intelcom in Canada to deliver packages then enforces massive delivery quotas on non-union workers. It seems that many think that Canada Post needs to be more competitive by doing similar things like paying workers less for more work. I like the
