Finished software is excellent, but I don’t think that most people really want it. What they want is new features to learn, or some new software to try because it’s “better”.
They want both of these things because learning new features or trying out new software makes them feel like they’re doing the work, but they’re not.
As I’ve said so many times, you don’t need a new tool if you’re not getting stuff done, you just need to do the work. A good system for doing the work will survive a change in the tool you’re using.
