GAS = Gear Acquisition Syndrome

We’ve all had it, and many of us will continue to have it. I’m certainly suffering from it a bit lately as I do more streaming.

Two tips I loved in this video.

1. Rent something and put it in your workflow before you purchase to see if it’s really as good as you think.
2. Watch all those tips/tricks for your current gear because you’re probably not using it to it’s full potential.

I’m 10+ years into using VIM as my code editor, and I still find stuff weekly I could be doing better with it. I really should take a course on VIM and all my other tools instead of watching for “what’s next” in my office.
