Hrm, need to send this one to my book coach. They tell me I must use social media to make book sales and this, from an author, contradicts that.

Social media is not a way to grow your “fame”, it’s a reflection of your fame. Outside of a few outliers like Shit My Dad Says, your social media following will grow as your popularity grows.

He goes on to surmise that if all of the sales from Jab, Jab, Jab, Right Hook came from social media, that’s still only a 1.82% conversion which is terrible. Plus Gary did so many interviews and other things so the conversion on social media is worse than 1.82%

Now, do I remove myself more from social media and focus on other efforts like guest podcasting?
